Click the pink Create / Pencil icon.
Search for name(s) and check the box(es) to add people to the message.
PRO TIP: If you are sending a bulk message, use the filter icon to pull a group of staff and/or students. You can use the overlapping checkboxes to select all. From there, you can either leave all checked or remove users from the list if needed.
Once you have made your selection of user(s), you will be prompted with the following options:
If you have selected one user, you can either start a direct chat or send the chat via the department chat.
If you have selected more than one user, you can either start a group chat (all users will be added to the same chat thread), send a direct message (the same message but sent to each user individually), or send via the department chat.
After you have selected the method of chat, you can compose your message.
When sending your message, you can send it as a chat, as well as check the box to send as an email.
PRO TIP: Create a template for a message you send often. (ASK FOR MORE DETAILS ON HOW!)
Add emojis, attachments, or a link from the media library.
COMING SOON: Send as SMS. This will allow us to send the same message three ways in one send! 🎉
Replies will be indicated by a pink bubble next to the person/chat that has a reply.
